Born in Johannesburg.  Passed the qualifying exam as a Chartered Accountant before starting medicine. Completed my medical degree at the University of Witwatersrand.  General surgical training in Bury St Edmunds, Oxford and Ashford followed by orthopaedic training in Cambridge & East Anglia.  Consultant appointment at the North Hampshire Hospital in 2001.

Clinical interests are in lower limb surgery (hip, knee and foot & ankle).

Joys of my life include Nicola and our two children, gardening, sculpting and electro-acoustic guitar playing in a band called NiveFiveDotOne.
